Our company history begins in 1945 in Villach, Kärnten. In the turbulent post-war period, a watertight roof over one’s head was a basic priority, which Villas met by producing bitumen-waterproofing sheets. In the 1960s and 1970s, they added internationally-pioneering bridge deck waterproofing systems and factory prefabricated bitumen shingles for pitched roofs to the product range. Today, Villas is the market leader in Austria, and with its high export rate, also a well-known supplier in central and southeast Europe.

Villas Hungaria in Zalaegerszeg, around 210 km to the south-west of Budapest, was founded in 1990. Using production plant based on the very latest technology, the company has maintained not only its leading position in the market, but also its leading position with regard to technology and application techniques in the Hungarian market.
